Earl A. Charles Jr., also known as "Charlie," Estate Whim died on St. Croix. He was 56 years old.
He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Charles; father, Earl A. Charles Sr.; daughter, Requanda Charles; sister, Alice Charles; sister-in-law, Lolita Charles; brothers: Michael Charles, Glenwood Charles, Wayne Charles and Mark Charles; nieces: Naeemah, Nzinga, Natifa, Neolani and Shama Charles, Akilah Charles- Obrien and Nyama Gibbs; nephews: Shaka, Rashid and Osiris Imhotep, and Glenwood Charles Jr.; aunts: Violet Delagarde, Eleanor and Gisbatine Sealey, Bernice Allick and Velarice Mitchelson; and uncles: Charles Capehart, Norman Erazo, Reuben Irwin and Ronald Allick.
He is also survived by special friends: Recarah Johnson, Earl Roebuck, Mr. and Mrs. Moses Lewis, Bryan Hodge, Mario Moorhead, Rael Sackey, Akil Thomas, the family of the late Glen and Evelyn Williams, and Edna Roberts; cousins and other relatives: Franklin and Larry Johnson, Anthony Sealey, Michael, Jerry and Diane Capehart, Stephanie and Stephen Erazo, Jonathon, Adrian and Jacquelynne Delagarde, Vedamae Oliver, Gregory, Ronald and Michelle Charles, Kenneth, Roy, Charles, Sharon and Ignatius Jr. Jackson, Calvin, Leona, Nicole and Shalima Edwards, Gloria Gerard , Virginia Figueroa, Doreen Pemberton, Maxwell McIntosh, Sylvan Charles and Gwendolyn Meyers-Ogarro; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Legion Hall Post No. 133, Frederiksted. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
