Human Services Programs Not Affected by Federal Shutdown

The Department of Human Services restates that the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program, Medicaid and other cash assistance programs have not been affected by the recent federal shutdown.
Benefits for each program will be issued without interruption throughout October. Recipients of SNAP are asked to disregard any misinformation pertaining to a shortfall of funding and continue to utilize their card as usual.
