Innovative Cable TV’s Music Choice Provides More Music Channels

Innovative Cable TV continues to expand its channel line-up to provide the most diverse programming in the U.S. Virgin Islands. On Dec. 10, Innovative’s Music Choice channels found on channels 601 to 646, will be adding five new channels and making a few additional changes to the existing line-up.
In an ongoing effort to provide its customers with a more diverse variety of music selections, Music Choice will be adding the following channels: Teen MC, Pop Rhythmic, Pop Country, Y2K and Love Songs. These new stations are youth-targeted with the intent of appealing to multi-cultural demographics between the ages 13 to 34.
Teen MC is a pop channel targeting teens with featured artists to include Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Imagine Dragons, Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake. Pop Rhythmic is a non-stop mix of up-tempo and mid-tempo songs ranging from pop, hip hop and dance music, featuring artists to include Drake, Rihanna, Lil Wayne and Miguel. Pop Country highlights a hybrid of hit list and today’s country with core artists to include Hunter Hayes, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus. Y2K is the new decades channel providing Top 40 hits for the 2000s with a mixture of pop, lighter-themed hip hop and smooth rock with core artists like Britney Spears, NSYNC, Christina Aguilera, Pink and Justin Timberlake. Love Songs is a pop-driven, mood-based channel providing all of today’s best love songs with featured artists like Bruno Mars, Maroon 5 and Adele.
There will also be additional changes made to the Music Choice line-up. Retro Rock found on channel 613, will be changed to Rock Hits and will showcase an infused blend of classic alternative and new classic rock catering to the 25-44 age range. The Classic Alternative channel found on channel 617 will, therefore, be removed from the line-up. True Country found on channel 630 will be changed to Country Hits and will feature new music from the channel’s core artists to include Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, George Strait and Martin McBride. Dance/Electronica will be changed to Dance/EDM with featured artists to include Daft Punk, Calvin Harris, Avicii, Deadmaus5 and Krewella.
Graciela Rivera, vice president of Cable TV Services, said, “ On Dec. 10th, we will be providing you with more of the music that you love at your fingertips, and I encourage all Innovative Cable TV subscribers to enjoy both the new and existing music channel options. There is a channel for all audiences. I also urge our customers to enjoy the Sounds of the Seasons found on channel 633 showcasing music for the holidays.”
