Man Arrested for Possession with Intent To Distribute Cocaine

Devon David CrookePolice on Friday arrested Devon David Crooke, age 43, and charged him with possession of cocaine with intention to distribute. According to the police, Crooke was in possession of cocaine packaged for sale at the time of his arrest.

Police were looking for Crooke on a charge of failure to appear in court for a previous offense when they spotted him at about 2:45 p.m. in Cruz Bay.

When officers encountered Crooke, according to the report from the V.I. Police Department, he was in possession of 10 bags of white rocky substances which later tested positive as cocaine.

Crooke is also known as “Monkey Man” and lives in Estate Bethany on St. John. He was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Bail was set at $10,500 dollars and he was remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
