Retirees should contact the Division of Personnel – Group Health Insurance Office with any questions pertaining to their health insurance deduction because all deduction amounts are sent to the GERS from Personnel, according to a press release issued on Monday by the Government Employees’ Retirement System.
For more information, retirees should contact the Division of Personnel at 774-8588 on St. Thomas or 718-0341 on St. Croix.
Also, retirees are reminded that unless otherwise advised, annuity pay dates are the 15th and the end of each month. Thus, the next scheduled pay date is Tuesday, Dec. 31.
“We’ve been receiving a number of calls from retirees inquiring as to when they will be paid. I would like to assure retirees who receive direct deposit that their annuity payments will be in their designated accounts on December 31st . We sincerely regret any inconvenience and wish our members a New Year filled with peace, happiness and good health,” said GERS Administrator Austin L. Nibbs.
