Innovative Cable TV, the leading cable television operator in the U.S. Virgin Islands, has announced the launch of ESPNU and the continued addition of very popular HD channels. The ESPNU Network is a 24-hour college sports network featuring live coverage of over 600 events to include college football, college basketball and Olympic sports coming from over 27 Division I Conferences. ESPNU’s action-packed lineup includes great sports and a wide range of studio programming, such as: SportsCenterU, SEC Weekly and simulcasts of ESPN Radio’s “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd. The network also provides extensive coverage of 22 NCAA championships. ESPNU can be found on the expanded tier.
Innovative Cable TV customers will also have the opportunity to enjoy 11 great new high-definition channels: NBC, ESPN 2, Disney, Spike, Lifetime, Fox, CNVX, MTV, Nick, LMN and Bravo, which will be added to the current HD channel lineup. Fox, NBC, LMN and Lifetime HD have recently been launched, and the remaining aforementioned channels will be coming soon. Viewing high-definition (HD) programming requires an HD converter or HD converter with Digital Video Recorders (HD/DVR) and an HD-ready television set.
Along with the expansion of Innovative Cable TV’s HD services, Innovative Cable TV has realigned the HD-channel lineup to correlate with its original channel but in the 300 series of numbers. For example, ESPN standard-definition is currently found on channels 26 on the St. Croix channel lineup and 28 on the St. Thomas-St. John channel lineup. On High-Definition, ESPN HD will be on Channels 326 and 328, respectively. In addition to the realignment of HD channels, WTJX will now be located on Channel 12, and the Community Calendar will be moved to Channel 13.
