Haitian Victory Continues to Win

0

The Haitian Victory continued their fine form in the St. Thomas Region when they defeated the Raymix 2-1 in Sunday night’s action at the Lionel Roberts Stadium. The Victory took the lead late in the first half when Herslin Malbranche converted a penalty awarded by the referee. Twenty minutes into the second half, the Victory’s Guitho Malbranche scored to double the lead to 2-0. The lackluster Raymix came to life 25 minutes into the second half when the Victory’s Carl Henry scored his own goal to reduce the lead to 2-1. But try as they may, the Raymix were unable to beat the Victory’s goal keeper Maxine Lundy as he held on to everything that came his way giving the Victory all three points moving to 2nd place with 39 points one more than the New Vibes, which has two games in hand.
The Raymix holds a slim one point lead over the UWS in the battle for 4th place but the UWS has two games in hand. Sunday’s earlier game between the Laraza and the Waitikubuli was not played. Action resumes on Tuesday night at 6:45 p.m. when the UWS plays the defending champions and league-leading Positive Vibes, followed by the Laraza and the Togetherness.
