Leonard R. Faraday Jr., also known as "Jimmy," of Estate Strawberry, died on June 4. He was 72 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Leonard Faraday Sr. and Winifred Marcelle; grandparents: YaYa Faraday, GoGo Faraday, Henerietta Alexander and Joseph Marcelle; and sister, Henrietta Faraday.
He is survived by his companion, Marjorie Roach; stepdaughters: Anna Petersen, Ella Mae Petersen-Daniel and Joy P. Joseph; son, Carl Faraday; stepsons: Julio Petersen Jr. and Jaime Joseph; granddaughter, Cahlysha Faraday; brothers: Carl Faraday and Claude Faraday; nieces: Dale Edwards, Tiffany Edwards, Denise Faraday and Carlene Montigue: nephews: Steve Edwards, Christopher Edwards and Clint Frarday; great niece, Jenaia Edwards; great nephews: Charles Edwards and Justin Edwards; and sisters-in-law: Donna Faraday and Bernadette Faraday.
He is also survived by godchildren: Leonard F. Diaz and Amani N. Christopher; special friends: Winston Quammie, Carol Spanner, Cutbert Charles, Rueben Krauser, Veronica Giltrich, Gerald Evans Sr. and Arthur Cumberbatch; cousins and other relatives: Lenore Taylor, Andrew Faraday, Rita Jemma Clarke and Yevonne St. Hilaire; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Special thanks go to Continuum Care and the staff at the Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center, Dr. Graham, Dr. Lake, Dr. Lahkram, as well as the medical, surgical and PCU/ICU nursing staff.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 13, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
