Two armed men carjacked a vehicle Tuesday evening in Frederiksted, making off with a white four-door Honda CRV, the V.I. Police said Wednesday.

According to the preliminary report, the owner of the car told police he had just left a bar and restaurant north of Frederiksted town and went to his vehicle, which was parked at a parking area directly across the street. The victim, whose name was not released by the police, said when he neared his vehicle two armed, masked men in dark clothing approached him, threw him to the ground, took his car keys and his vehicle.

The men drove off in an easterly direction in the stolen vehicle, license number CEO-860. Police issued an all points bulletin on the vehicle.

The victim was not injured and refused medical attention.

Anyone with information regarding the case can call detectives at 1-340-712-6031 or 1-340-712-6024, or call 911 or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.

  1. Stop catching them, putting them in orange jumpsuits, and then releasing them a few days later. They consider this a fun ride and a chance to see old friends in the jail, face to face. Start force shaving their heads. Strap them down in chairs, if necessary. Cut all braids and/or locks. They love their hair more than their freedom. I know that it sounds silly, but I am telling you that it will deter crime from these young punks.
