Joseph Emanuel Martin Jr., also known as “Moonlight,” of Estate Grove Place died on Nov. 2, at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 74 years old.
He is survived by his adopted daughter, Diane Petersen; four grandchildren; sisters: Evelyn Allen, Iris Martin Browne, Delores Martin Edward, Cassandra Martin Thompson and Rose Yarwood Shepard; brothers: Terrence Sr., Gerald Sr., Charles and Abraham Martin and Allan Yarwood; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews too numerous to mention; aunts: Sylvia Farrow and Medora Martin; uncles: Sinclair Jones, Bromley Martin Jr. and Henry Martin; special friends: Corrine White Lynch, Carolyn White Hill and family, Rasmussen and family, Teddy Brow and family, the Cruzan Rum family and the Grove Place friends; special cousins: the Gibbs family, the Pedro family, the Martin family, the James family, Merle Finley, the Derricks family, the Herbert family and the Christian family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
