Carmen Robles-Cruz of Estate Richmond, formerly of Estate Profit No. 5, died on Dec. 4, at Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center. She was 87 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Agapito Cruz; and daughter, Awilda Cruz.
She is survived by her daughter, Carmen E. Cruz; son, Agapito Cruz Jr.; grandchildren: Karla Garcia, Yara B. Figueroa-Brooks, Pete, Randy and Anthony Figueroa, Alex, Gaby and Miguel Cruz, and Sixto Pinero Jr.; great-grandchildren: Pedro Figueroa IV, Iziah, Karla Beliz Figueroa, Elijah, Noah and Emma Garcia, Jabaree, Marvin, Xiomaris, Odaliz and Nidializ Cruz, and Luis M. Cruz Jr.; daughter-in-law, Xiomara Sanes-Pinero; and son-in-law, Pedro Figueroa Jr.
She is also survived by sisters-in-law: Mary Luz Cruz and Ana Luz Cruz; adopted daughters: Gisela Rosa, Maria E. Cruz, Agnes Cintron, Elba Figueroa, Carmen Corcino, Maria Friday and Ruth Martinez; special friends: the Quinones family, Garcia family, Figueroa family, Cotto family, Saldana family, Sanes family, members of De La Iglesia Methodista Hispana, Hna. Tina, Hna. Neida, Hna. Anni Gonzalez and Hna. Julia Claxton; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Tributes will take place at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, at Iglesia Metodista Hispana (Estate Mt. Royal/Catherine’s Rest). Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery, Veterans Section.
