Henry Sebastian Williams Sr. Dies at 84

Henry Sebastian Williams Sr. Henry Sebastian Williams Sr. of Tide Village died on Dec. 25.
He is preceded in death by his son, Warren A. Williams Sr.; and grandchild, Dion A. Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen L. Santos Williams; daughters: Roxanne C. Williams-Miller, Roselle L. Williams, Christine A. Williams, Julieth B., Carolyn E. Colon, Patricia E. Williams-Anderson, Frances E. Williams-Augustin, Enid C. M. Williams-O’Garro and Felicia Polydore; sons: Henry S. Williams Jr., Cecil A. Williams and Gerard A. Williams Sr.; and grandchildren: Dahlia A. Petersen-Jarratt, Danica A. and D’Sean A. Miller, Warren A. Williams Jr., Ariel A. George, Teneigh S. Denning, Brandon D. and Terrance A. Baker, Joia Shorter, Darien A. Griffin, William A. Hodge Jr., Major Lee and Mariel A. Womack, and Henisha S. Williams.
Other surviving grandchildren include: A’ja M. White, Jimmy J. Colon, Shervonne C. Williams-Nieves, Gerard A. Jr., Rebeccah I., Rachel I., Israel E., Imani O., Zion N.Y. and Zalika A. N. Williams, Felicita, Angela, Angel and Olga Martinez, Gene A. II, Giovanni A. and Gelysia A. Anderson, Diara Bates and Kerbassi Augustin, Edouard Jr. and Enishoua O’Garro, and Felicita, Angela, Angel, Olga, Keshia Shillingford, Akeela and Ty Moorehead; and great-grandchildren: Caresse D. Hansen, Maleeka A. and Malik I. Jarratt, Lenic A. Charles, Dion A. Vega, Dariah D. Griffin, Jahkim Stevens, J’Noah Battiste, Dejah E. Gustave, William A. Hodge III., Lawrence C. M. Denning III.
Other surviving great-grandchildren include: Rameen K. Williams, Isaiah J. Jackson, Warren A., Jamani and Kimani Williams, Leilani R. M. and Samuel Nieves Jr., Jelani A.L. Samuel, Legend A. L. Womack, Sean C. Shorter and Marcus L.; brother, Ray Williams; nieces: Eugenie, Olga, Anitra, Santos, Sylvia and Santos Butcher, Angela Morales, Carmen Lang, Felicia Griffith, Anita Bravo, Arlene Simpson, Carmen Figueroa, Ramona and Lizette Lopez, Maria Eugenia Brown, Denise Hennemann, Ivy Hennemann Dorsey, Janet King, Daphne Bough, Veronica Blackwood, Tiwanna Williams and Desni Simmelkjer; and nephews: Martin Jr., Mario, Mark, Victor, Adolfo, McDonald, George Jr., Santos, Gabriel, Adolfo and Rolando Lopez, Douglas Jr. and Dwayne Simpson, Olaf Jr., Samuel, Lawrence, Kai and Owen Henneman, and Dwight, Offley King, Leonard and Roger Williams.
He is also survived by daughters-in-law: Eugenie, Teresa and Rita Williams; sons-in-law: Kent L. Miller, Gene “Spanish” Anderson, Kerwyn Augustin, Edouard O’Garro Sr. and Derickson Polydore; granddaughter-in-law, Jessica M. Williams; sister-in-law, Maria Lopez; brothers-in-law: Martin Sr. and George Santos; close friends and family: Harold Thompson Sr., Guillermo Encarnacion, Daniel and Sarah James, Luz Delia Armstrong, Manuel Nelson, the Todman, Roebuck, Furett, Evans and Hansen families, Ali and Eunice Ambrose, Percy and Marcia Hollins, Lilian Jacobs, American Legion Post 85, Ada Brooks and Coralie; great nephew, nieces, other families and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at James Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7.
Funeral services will take place from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, at the American Legion Hall, Gallows Bay. A church service will follow at 10 a.m. at the Lord God of Saboath Lutheran Church. There will be no viewing at the church. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery, Veterans Section.
