The community is invited to share a very special evening with local sports hero Julian Jackson, who recently announced his retirement from a long and successful career in boxing. The retirement banquet will be held at 7 p.m on Saturday March 20 at Frenchman's Reef.
Well known figures from the boxing world are expected to join in the tribute to Jackson that night, according to a release from Sen. Adlah "Foncie" Donastorg's office. Donastorg is assisting with planning the event.
Jackson, a local hero and role model, has had a very successful career, holding titles for both Junior Middleweight champion and Middleweight champion.
Donastorg called Jackson one of the "greatest athletes that this territory has produced…and a great human being."
Tickets for the event are available at Donastorg's office, Nisky Pharmacy, Frank's Bakery and MIC Bookstore in Tutu Park Mall.
