Indu Gupta, a 1994-95 recipient of the Bennie and Martha Benjamin Medical scholarship administered by the University of the Virgin Islands, has received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY.
Gupta is enrolled in a residency program in pediatrics at Metro Health Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
The daughter of UVI mathematics Professor Ram Prakash Gupta and his
wife Usha Gupta, Indu Gupta graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1994 with two bachelor's degrees – one each in biology and Spanish.
A 1990 graduate of the Antilles School, Indu Gupta is also a former student of the Addelita Cancryn and Kirwan Terrace Schools on St. Thomas.
