Sept. 9, 2003 – Police officials on St. Croix have confirmed that a 28-year-old man charged with sexual exploitation of a minor is a Corrections Bureau officer.
Malcolm Hughes, 28, appeared in court on Monday for an advice of rights hearing after being arrested Friday night. He was placed on $10,000 bail.
According to police, officers executing a search warrant found photographs at Hughes' residence that he is alleged to have taken of nude children. He is charged with having photographed a 17-year-old girl.
