Aug. 16, 2004 — St. Thomas-St. John Insular Superintendent, William I. Frett has released the 2004-2005 public school reporting schedule for the district' s elementary, junior and senior high school students which begins officially on Wednesday, Aug. 25. Frett said the schedule has been streamlined to maximize instruction time and create uniformity. He also said, parents are required to accompany their children to school on opening day. "The critical role of parents is being emphasized as they are required to accompany their children the very first day," he said. “Students and parents should be equally knowledgeable of policies, procedures and requirements, especially academic, disciplinary and dress code. Employers are encouraged to be supportive of parents as they increase their involvement in the education of their children, he said. "Parents are also reminded that they are entitled by law to two hours monthly to visit their children' s schools."

August 16-20 — Registration and payment of all school fees – 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

NOTE: Students who miss orientation and do not receive class schedules will not be allowed to attend classes during the first week of school. Parents are advised that getting their children' s immunization records from the clinic, taking ID photos and fulfilling obligations at the school must be done prior to orientation day.
