Jan. 26, 2005 – The body found Tuesday in the bushes off a road three-quarters of a mile north of Eulalie Rivera Elementary School in Estate Grove Place has been identified as Sandra Marshall, 58.
Sgt. Thomas Hannah, police spokesperson, said Wednesday that her permanent address has not been determined, but she once live in Grove Place.
According to the police report, a driver on the road noticed something in the bushes he thought was a dead animal, but looked suspicious. He stopped his car, went to investigate and found the body about 125 yards from the road. He made his report to the police about 11:20 a.m.
Hannah said that evidence found in the area indicates that it might have been a homicide. He said because of the evidentiary nature of what was found, the information would not be disclosed now.
Hannah said the death appeared to have taken place 24 hours previous to the discovery of the body. He added it appeared the body had been placed where it was found.
