Carnival 2005 Schedule

April 1, 2005 – Carnival will take place this year from April 10 to April 30. This year's theme is "Carnival is alive in 2005," which was submitted by Lynette Glasford. The Carnival Village will be named Calypsonianville in honor of all local calypsonians. Below is a schedule of events.

Carnival Vendors' Permits
The V.I. Police Department has announced that Carnival vendors may obtain permits only from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 7 and 8. Permits will be issued for the two Parade Day and J'ouvert only. For fees and other requirements see the article in this Community/Other section.
Sunday, April 10
Prince & Princess Selection show, 5 p.m. at the Lionel Roberts Stadium.
Saturday, April 16
Queen's Selection Show, 8 p.m. at the Lionel Roberts Stadium.
Sunday, April 17
Toddlers Derby, 5 p.m. at the Lionel Roberts Stadium;
traditional games, 7 p.m. at the Lionel Roberts Stadium.
Monday, April 18
Carnival at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital, 6 p.m., Hospital Lobby (First floor).
Tuesday, April 19

Roas-a-time (J'ouvert), 4 a.m. along Veteran's Drive;
Coors Light V.I. Calypso Competition, 8 p.m. at the Lionel Roberts Stadium.
Friday, April 29
Children's Parade, 10 a.m. from Market Square to Lionel Roberts Stadium.
Saturday, April 30
Adults' Parade, 10 a.m. Western Cemetery to Lionel Roberts Stadium.
