WTJX Has Fundraiser: 'A Taste of Two Islands'-Rescheduled
The Friends of WTJX, the public television system, invite you to sample scrumptious treats from your favorite local restaurants at "A Taste Two Islands." This fundraiser will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Sea Cliff of the Marriott's Frenchman's Reef Hotel.
Participating restaurants include: Asolare, Chateaux Bordeaux, Windows on the Harbor, Lillian's Caribbean Grill and many others. Dishes will include walnut whole wheat bread crostini topped with foie gras, enchiladas, stuffed eggplant, conch chowder, Irish stew, Caribbean poached shrimp, seafood sausage topped with poached shrimp, and dozens of other gourmet foods. There will also be entertainment: CoCo and the Sunshine Band and Francis Callwood Steelband.
Tickets are $50 and are available at Parrot Fish Music (Backstreet), UVI Bookstore (Brewers Bay), Krystal and Gifts Galore (Tutu Park Mall), Modern Music (Havensight and Nisky), Home Again (Red Hook) and Connections (St. John).
