Nov. 17, 2005 – Schneider Regional Medical Center and the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute are sponsoring a free seminar on Nutrition and Cancer from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Sunroom of the Roy L. Schneider Hospital on Tuesday, Nov. 22. Guest speaker for the event is Gail Shulterbrandt, L.D.N., the nutrition columnist for the Virgin Islands Daily News.
The National Cancer Institute estimates that at least 35 percent of all cancers have a nutrition connection. Lowering your dietary fat may also reduce the recurrences of breast cancer in postmenopausal women, according to a recent study by the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
