Feb. 15, 2006 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM this Sunday, Feb. 19, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This Sunday you will be entertained by the Subdudes, Jeff Talmadge, Steve Forbert, Ruthie Foster and many more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Behind the Levee," the latest from the Subdudes, who once again give us some great roots rock. This CD was produced by the outstanding acoustic blues artist, Keb Mo.
The Indie Spotlight CD is the latest from singer-songwriter Jeff Talmadge. His latest effort of mature and literate songs is called "Blissville."
We include music from Ruthie Foster, who will be appearing in concert at Tillett Gardens on March 1, and music from Last Train Home, who visit the Virgin Islands with their first gig on Feb. 22.
We also feature music from Steve Forbert, who was supposed to be coming to the Virgin Islands for two concerts but those shows have been postponed at this date and may hopefully be re-scheduled for a future date. We will celebrate the birthdays of Smokey Robinson and Robert Bradley of Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise.
We also include new music from blues man Tom Principato, a solo effort from Stray Cat Lee Rocker, String Cheese Incident and more. We will have music from Buddy Guy, the Beatles, the Stray Cats, Eddie from Ohio and more.
Tune in for a chance to win a compilation featuring the finest work of New Orleans blues artist Snooks Eaglin as well as a chance to win the latest release from the jazzy sounding Dave's True Story, whose latest effort is called "Simple Twist of Fate," a tribute CD to the music of Bob Dylan.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker, Molly Molones, and Steve Simon and the St. John Blues Festival.
