Community Foundation Honors Its Angels

0

Feb. 28, 2006 – The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands will hold a reception to honor all of its "Angels" on March 18, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the home of one of its angels. The Board of Directors of CFVI will express their gratitude to all donors and report on the foundation's progress.
A CFVI angel is a person who makes an annual gift of $500 or more to the foundation. Last year CFVI provided more than $1.25 million in grants and scholarships to organizations and individuals. The foundation funds projects such as: scholarships to V.I. students pursuing higher education, initiatives to promote responsible fatherhood, improving child-care centers, grants to innovative teachers and one-time grants to children and families that need emergency help.
All Angels have an additional opportunity of winning a Dreamstake. This is an entire day of cruising on the luxurious 72' Unisse MY 72 Yacht, "High Hopes," in either the United States and British Virgin Islands, or around Manhattan, NY. The Dreamstake will include gourmet food and beverages by a private chef, and a captain and crew for the winner and nine guests. The tickets are $1,000 each and only 100 will be sold. Please call the foundation if you would like to purchase one.
