March 7, 2006 – Josephine Sablon of Dominica died on Monday, Feb. 27, at her residence in Lorraine Village. She was 81 years old.
She is survived by daughters: Ilma Grant, Sylma Sablon-Williams, Linda Sablon-George, Vilma Savlon-Vidal and Hilma Sablon-Daniel; stepdaughter Emaline Jackson; sons: Andrew and Kenneth Sablon; and stepson, Joseph Sablon. Other survivors include her sister, Veron Castor; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; as well as numerous relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, March 8, at the Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church, with a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery.
