June 20, 2006 – The St. John Coastal Zone Management Committee meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Legislature was canceled because of heavy rains.
Chairman Julien Harley said the seaplanes bringing CZM staff from St. Croix to St. Thomas had to turn around because of bad weather. "And it's supposed to be a little worse tonight," he said.
The meeting was called to hear an application by Coral Bay Marina to build a 116-berth marina in Coral Bay.
The project also includes commercial space, fuel storage and pump-out facilities.
Harley said the meeting would be rescheduled.
