Nov. 3, 2008 – Philip Jamal Austin of Estate Whim died on Oct. 28, at his residence. He was 18 years old.
He is survived by his father, Anthony Thomas; stepmother, Alicia Sanes; grandparents: Lona Crossman, Terrence Morris, Andrew Thomas and Grace Thomas; step grandparents: Stafford Crossman and Mona Morris; sisters: Nikima Richards, Tnyka Thomas, Alira Thomas and Axaria Thomas; brothers: Warren Brooks Jr., Anthony Thomas and Konato Trowell; and stepbrother, Omarai Velasquez. He is also survived by aunts: Urslyn Austin, Ava Browne, Desiree Crossman, Raqshida Morris, Nicole Crossman, Andrea Thomas-Philip, Yolande Easterling and Kathy Thomas; uncles: Gary and Neil Thomas, Vincent Branch, Hanif Morris and Devon Crossman; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 8, at New Testament Church. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery.
