What a big safety issue. This happened to me. I returned the check that I had yesterday to them and they told me it would take a while for them to have my correct check ready. The lady at the window could not give me an exact date, but it didn't sound like it was going to be too soon.
The incorrect check that I received had someone else's social security number on the check stub as the invoice number. So, that leads me to wonder, who has my social security number. I am sure this is a concern for all. The funny thing is that when I returned the incorrect check, the lady at the window gave me back a copy of the same check and check stub with the incorrect social on it as proof that I returned the check. That makes no sense because apparently they are doing this with everyone and now no one's identity is safe. This is a matter of security and the IRB representatives show no concern. Who's social security number do I have on the check stub they gave to me, and who has mine? Who has yours?
What will happen now? I don't feel safe.
