BIR Announces Delay in Opening of New Satellite Office

Claudette Watson-Anderson, C.P.A., director of the Virgin Islands Bureau of Internal Revenue, has announced a delay in the opening of a satellite cashier office at Sugar Estate, at the former FirstBank location, next to the Charlotte Amalie High School track. Due to a delay in the shipment of equipment, the new offices will now open on Monday, Nov. 16. The new offices will offer exclusive cashiering services with unlimited parking. Taxpayers will be able to file returns and pay tax bills at this location.

The telephone number at this new location is 714- 9324. All other services will continue to be provided at the Mandela Circle location. Questions concerning the move should be directed to Averyl Fabian, deputy director of operations at 714-9302.
