Andre R. Motta, also known as “Andy,” “Peanut” or “Master P,” of Estate Whim died on Dec. 8, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 60 years old.
He is survived by his spouse: Mabel Cornelius Motta; mother: Claire G. Motta; daughters: Tasha M. Motta, Tarnara M. Motta and Yolanda P. Brannigan; stepson, Micheal Hendrickson; grandchild, Victor Rodriquez Motta; mother-in-law, Maria Cornelius; sisters: Marion G. Motta, Monique M. Motta and Myrta M. Boyd; brothers: Lawrence, David D.D., Robert, Eri, Kenneth and Richard Motta; sisters-in-law: Renee’ Dowling-Motta, Margaret Foster, Leola Cornelius, Rita Brice Sebastian, Stella and Jenine Cornelius; and brothers-in-law: Steven Boyd, Victor and James Cornelius. He is also survived by godchild, Keno Walcott; nieces: Tricia, Leah, Samantha, Robyn, Shevonne Motta, Evenie Motta Ramos, Jada and Mia Boyd; 12 great nieces; nephews: Duane, Lawrence III, David Jr., Kevin, Cecil Jr., David, Allan, Wesley, Robert Jr., Ralph, Reno, Riis, Richard Jr. and Ronald Motta, Troy and Thaddeus Hendricks, Gregory III and Kaj Miller. Other survivors include 10 great nephews; aunts: Melba C. Biggs, Dorothy Armstrong and Isabel Barbel; uncles: David C. Canegata Jr. and Raymond LaMotta; cousins: the Canegata, McDonald, Biggs, Weber, LaMotta, Dela Motta, Armstrong and Barbel families; special friends too numerous to mention; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 21, at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery,Veterans Section.
