Marshall & Sterling Finalizes Acquisition of First Insurance Agency in the U.S.V.I.

Marshall & Sterling Insurance has finalized the acquisition of First Insurance Agency Inc. both on St. Croix and St. Thomas, a process which commenced with the planned acquisition announcement made on Feb. 7. All customers of First Insurance Agency Inc. are now being served by Marshall & Sterling Insurance on St. Croix, and Theodore Tunick & Company on St. Thomas. Theodore Tunick & Company is a division of Marshall & Sterling.
Mark Robertson, president and branch manager of Theodore Tunick & Company on St. Thomas said, “We will be maintaining the former First Insurance Agency Inc. office location at Port of Sale through March 31, after which these operations will be transferred to the Tunick Building at 1336 Beltjen Road in Charlotte Amalie. Former First Insurance Agency Inc. customers may continue to utilize the Port of Sale location until that date.”
John Harper, president and branch manager of Marshall & Sterling St Croix said, “We will continue to serve former First Insurance Agency Inc. customers at both the Sunny Isle and Orange Grove branch office locations until April 4, after which time the operations of the Orange Grove office will be consolidated into our Gallows Bay office and the Sunny Isle office.”
It is anticipated that all operational functions will be transferred and finalized with Marshall & Sterling and Theodore Tunick & Company in the coming weeks, providing a seamless and transparent transfer of accounts for all former customers of First Insurance Agency, Inc.
