0
St. Croix Unity Coalition Inc., which is a community-based partnership providing prevention, intervention, education, and research programs, is now conducting registration for its 11th annual Teen Summit. The summit is a weekend-long drug/alcohol/violence-free interactive educational forumthat will take place on June 10 – 12, at the University of the Virgin Islands, Albert A. Sheen Campus dormitories. Additional activities will include: daily physical exercises, a barbecue, sports and a talent show.
Presentations are designed to provide young people ages 12 – 17 in grades 7th – 11thwith positive, motivational workshops and activities that focus on living safe and healthy lives.
Past summits have shown positive results in the young people who attended, and the Unity Coalition is expecting to see the same results this year. Space is limited and only 90 participants can be accommodated, so parents and caregivers are encouraged to register their young people as soon as possible.
The registration fee is $55 per student, and school I. D. cards are required for all students during registration.
