Charter Yacht League Elects New Board of Governors

0

The Virgin Islands Charter Yacht League annual elections were held on June 25, and a new Board of Governors was elected by the general membership for the 2011/2012 season.
Members of the board serve on a voluntary basis for a term of one year. They are active charter captains who generously give of their time and charter business experience to oversee the operational aspects of the Charter Yacht League as well as the clearing house Flagship Yacht Services. They lend guidance to its staff and new members from a charter captain’s point of view, as this 43-year-old organization continues to look ahead and plot a course for an ever expanding future.
The league membership welcomes returning board members Randy Tucker of the sailing vessel Three Moons, Linda Stracener of the sailing vessel Drumbeat, Brian Johnson of the sailing vessel Sublime and Chris Allison of the sailing vessel Verna Breeze.
Mat Bockh of the motor vessel NSS Pattam, Derek Hunsinger, owner of the sailing vessel Belle Vita, and Richard DeBadts, captain of the sailing trimaran Freedom, bring a fresh prospective to a membership now totaling over 200 members.
Rounding out the slate is Joe Mancino, captain and owner of the sports fishing charter vessel Post Time. An avid fisherman and a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary for the past 15 years, he will be a great asset to the membership on a number of levels.
These Charter Yacht League members are an excellent source of information and reference for new members, and they can always be found at the various yacht show events, social occasions and fleet get-togethers scheduled for the 2011/2012 charter yacht vacation season.
