0

The road rehabilitation project at Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge is complete. Beginning Saturday, Nov. 5, the refuge will resume regular open hours Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and
weekdays when a cruise ship is in port at Frederiksted. The road to the beach is open to vehicle traffic, visitors are able to drive vehicles into the wildlife refuge and access new public areas adjacent to refuge beaches.

Visitors are reminded that the refuge beaches will continue to have incubating sea turtle nests through December. All sea turtles are protected by federal law and Virgin Islands territorial law.
