St. Thomas Traffic Bureau officers are investigating a car accident that injured two pedestrians on Alton Adams Drive.

According to a Police Department news release, the collision Wednesday evening between a 2005 Toyota Corolla and a 1995 Toyota Camry caused injuries to two pedestrians who were walking in the area.

Police said that while attempting to make the right turn onto Fifth Street, the Corolla hit the Camry’s front fender and caused the car to veer onto the side walk.

One of the pedestrians, a 43-year-old male, sustained a broken right leg and complained of neck and back pain. The other pedestrian, a 34-year-old male, had a broken left leg, a broken left shoulder, and abrasions on his face. He also complained of chest pains.

This case is still under active investigation by VIPD’s Traffic Investigation Bureau. No citations have been issued at this time.
