A woman was robbed by an armed man Tuesday in the vicinity of the Kingshill Cemetery, according to the V.I. Police Department.

The victim reported the incident to police about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. She said she was sitting near the cemetery waiting for her ride when a Hispanic man approached and pointed a handgun at her. The robber demanded her cell phone and her handbag, which she gave him.

She described the suspect as about 150 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt and pants of an unknown color.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau are following up on this case, according to the VIPD.
