Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Dean A. Nurse Jr./St. Croix
Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Dean A. Nurse Jr.March 8, 20014 (Joint Hometown News Service) — Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Dean A. Nurse Jr. graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Nurse is the son of Carolyn Friday and Dean Nurse Sr., of Christiansted.
He is a 2011 graduate of St. Croix Central High School, Kingshill, St Croix.
Air Force Airman Evangeline D. Gumbs/St. Croix

Gumbs is the daughter of Sheelene Gumbs of Fredricksted.
She is a 2007 graduate of Free Will Baptist Christian School, Christiansted, St. Croix.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Rashad A. Richards/St. Croix
Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Rashad A. Richards March 13, 2014 (Joint Hometown News Service) — Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Rashad A. Richards graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Richards is the son of Sheryl James-Blake and Sylvester Blake, both of Christiansted.
He is a 2009 graduate of St. Croix Central High School, Christiansted.

Army Pfc. Allen J. LeBlanc Jr./St. Thomas
March 20, 2014 (Defense Media Activity) — Army Pfc. Allen J. LeBlanc Jr. has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.
LeBlanc is the son of Phyllis and Allen LeBlanc of Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, V.I.
He is a 2013 graduate of Ivanna Eudora Kean High School, Charlotte Amalie.
