Esther Danielson-Thomas of St. Peter’s, Christiansted, died on Aug. 23. She was 86 years old.
She is survived by her sister, Florina D. Barnes; nieces: Enid, Debra, Sandra Dee Danielson, Verna Lionel, Myrna Anderson, Corine Barnes, Beryl Handy, Pat Moore, Isabel P. Tuitt and Carlotta P. Moorehead; nephews: Leroy Sr., Ludvig, Myron , Glenn, Aubrey, Warren, Jeffrey, Ovid Danielson Jr., Arnold Barnes Jr., Dwight Moore and Romeo Henderson; great nieces and great nephews too numerous to mention; brother-in-law, Arnold Barnes Sr.; sister-in-law, Sarah Danielson; stepdaughter-in-law, Betty Wells; and adopted son and daughter: Guillermo "Gigi" and Marcie Encarnacion.
She is also survived by special friends and relatives: Ann G. Grant, Emiliano Lake, Esie King, Gloria Joseph, Helen Sealey, Iris O’Donogue, Cynthia Smith, June Foye and family, Delarie Williams and family, Marilyn Christian, Rochelle Gumbs, Sherill Martinez, Rosie Telemaque, Franz Christian, Joseph Graham, Lillian Jacobs, Lee Bronstoff, Ursula Joseph, William Boatswain, Ceta and Ingrid Heyliger, the Walcott family, the Somme family, the Roebuck family, the Encarnacion family, the Finch family, the Adams family, the Knight family, the King family, the Ebbessen family, the Hansen family and the Roach family; special mention: retired school crossing guards; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Bethel AME Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
