Thank you Ms. Buchanan for writing this wonderful account of the interesting life story of an honorable, distinguished citizen. Thank you, Mr. Tranberg, for sharing your life with us. The childhood play activities reminded me of times, when simple things could bring entertainment and pleasure. The mention of Tom Mix, the great-grandfather of my son-in-law, Steven Lipe, on his mother's side, touched me. Not many people remember Tom Mix. This article is entertaining and inspiring. I will share it with my students when I return to school this fall. Mr. Tranberg is a valuable role model and example of a self-motivated man with a love for family, friends and community.
I wish Mr. Tranberg many happy birthdays for the future.
