Christian Science Society Invites All to Christmas Presence Webcast

0

Christmas Presence is a special Christmas international webcast exploring the universal story of Christ Jesus’ life and light. It is hosted by the Christian Science Society of St. Thomas and St. John, and will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20 (UTC 18:00), at Market Square (3rd floor) on St. John. Christmas Presence brings together songs, stories and scenes from Israel in a one-hour event designed for interfaith audiences of all ages. Retrace the healing light of the Christ from ancient times in a natural shelter in the fields outside Bethlehem to present day in the green fields of Galilee in northern Israel.

“It’s so easy to get caught up in the mad rush to the malls—the hunt for Christmas presents—while our hearts yearn for something more,” said Christian Science lecturer Chet Manchester and singer Julia Wade. “It’s the presence of Christ that is the real gift of Christmas—‘God with us.’ This is what Jesus’ life illustrated and what’s at the heart of our program. "
This Christmas season enjoy this unique celebration. Christmas Presence will be webcast live from the historic 1894 edifice of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston.
